- What does GELS stand for? General Electric Licensing System. This is a project for the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Computer Science and Engineering's senior project course.
- Who are the creators of GELS? Victor Ivanov, Miran Kim and Xiaolu Zhang are all students at the University of Nevada, Reno. GELS is a project conceived by their external advisor, Kenneth Ceglia of GE.
- Why is GELS useful? The software licensing and management system currently employed by General Electric, Energy Division is outdated and inconvenient for customers. GELS hopes to automate the bulk of the process and give both customers and developers additional benefits.
